EU AI Act Compliance Statement

1. Introduction

We are committed to ensuring the ethical, transparent, and safe use of artificial intelligence in all our digital products, including the MentiorMynd® application. This EU AI Act Compliance Statement outlines our alignment with the proposed regulatory framework under the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act).

2. Classification of MentiorMynd® Under the AI Act

MentiorMynd® is classified as a limited-risk AI system under the AI Act. It uses AI for enhancing user learning and self-reflection in areas such as communication, emotion regulation, and goal orientation. The app does not involve biometric identification, social scoring, predictive policing, or any prohibited practices.

3. Transparency Obligations

We inform users that MentiorMynd® uses automated systems (including machine-generated voice tracks and behavioral guidance logic) for mental training and support. Users are always aware when interacting with non-human systems, in full accordance with Article 52 of the EU AI Act.

4. User Control and Consent

MentiorMynd® requires user consent before activating features that use personal interaction data (e.g., saved preferences, progress tracking). All data processing aligns with our Privacy Policy and GDPR Compliance. No automated decisions are made that have legal or significant personal consequences for users.

5. Human Oversight

All AI-based features in MentiorMynd® are developed, reviewed, and quality-tested by qualified professionals. There is always human oversight during content creation and user feedback loops. Users can provide feedback or opt out of AI-driven suggestions at any time.

6. Safety and Robustness

We implement internal procedures to ensure that MentiorMynd® operates in a predictable, transparent, and safe manner. This includes regular testing, version audits, risk assessments, and fallback mechanisms to handle system errors.

7. Data Governance

MentiorMynd® does not use external training data or user profiling to train its systems. All AI logic is rule-based or developed through human-authored expert systems. User data is stored securely and never used for real-time personalization unless explicitly consented to by the user.

8. Accessibility and Fairness

We strive to make MentiorMynd® inclusive and accessible to users regardless of age, gender, neurodiversity, or language background. The system avoids any form of bias or discrimination in tone, content, or delivery. We actively review scripts and content with inclusive guidelines.

9. Reporting and Redress Mechanism

Users can report any concerns about MentiorMynd’s AI-driven features via our contact page. We investigate all reports internally and take corrective action if necessary. No automated decision-making with legal effects is performed by MentiorMynd®.

10. Ongoing Compliance Monitoring

As the EU AI Act enters into force, Dr. Thomas Steinert will continue to adapt its systems and internal processes to meet compliance requirements. We monitor guidance issued by the EU AI Office and will implement relevant changes where needed.
